Summary
of Findings:
The analysis shows
that 60% of the class of 2006 attended college in the first year after
graduation. Eighty-four percent of the college students stayed in Washington
and 16% attended colleges elsewhere. Literally half (50%) attended
a public two-year college in Washington.
Data
for Local School Districts:
School Districts can purchase tables with comparable
information for their graduates after they subscribe to the National Student Clearinghouse's Student
Tracker system. The included figures
are identical to the state report and also include a list of all institutions of higher education
where graduates were enrolled. A set of tables costs $500 for the first
one and $250 for each additional set ordered within 2 weeks of receipt of the first tables. All
reports will be emailed as Microsoft Excel attachments.
Data
for Local Colleges:
Community and Technical Colleges are invited to purchase tables of comparable
information for graduates from area high schools.
We expect data on college enrollments for the Class of 2007 to be available
in the spring of 2009.
